I am getting water in my lower unit oil. I was originally thinking it was the prop shaft seal but I don't leak oil while sitting there on the trailer so maybe it is the oil seal on the drive shaft. I found some fish line behind my prop when pulling it.

If it is the prop shaft does anyone know what wrench I need for the cover nut. Some kind of spanner wrench??

Before going through that effort, drain the lower unit, replace the seals on the drain and vent screws. Refill the lower unit and run it again. If you still have water intrusion, then go after the prop and driveshaft seals. You really should have a manual for your manual to guide you in this effort. Try your local library. They may not have one for your exact engine but one that's close is better than none.

i had the same issue with my 650 the waterpump base drive shaft seals were leaking i did find oil in the exhaust my prop shaft seals were always dry
