greetings all-

I am looking for an Islander. I am looking for a big water boat to fish the great lakes.

Of the ones i have seen, the boats are distinctly different through the years.
I am looking to narrow down the year range of boats to look at. What were the major model year changes? Features?

Example- I have seen 60's boats with 80" transoms, 70's boats with 90" and i think 80's with 96" transoms. Both 19' and 22' . I have yet to see a 26' in the wild.

So in my case, I would like to get the beamiest boat. What years to look at?

According to the material I received from Starcraft today the `74 Islander has a transom width of 801/4" and a beam of 92" weighing 1985 lbs with a recomended capacity of 2000 lbs.
