Just purchased a slightly used 2005 Bayliner Capri 175 Bowrider I/O and while it has slide rails mounted, it has no Bimini Top.
Problem: I cant decide what color that is as trim on the seats. Does anyone know for sure? It looks to be ROYAL Blue but possibly it is OCEAN Blue?
Also, there is no "hour meter" on the dash but is there a gauge of some sort on the engine itself?
Supposedly, this boat has about 30 hours on it and quite frankly looks as close to new as possible, which is why I bought it. I want to order the Bimini right away so any quick help will be grealy appreciated!
Boating the Barnagat Bay in NJ from a ramp on the Toms River!
Here's the color of my Bimini. Not sure of which shade of Blue - it's the factory bimini from Bayliner and it's sunbrella. Just call your dealer to find out.
Nice Capri there Rondi, Was that tinted windshield from bayliner or no?
I already ordered a Bimini top in Royal Blue and it will be here on Monday. Too bad though as it would have come in handy tomorrow with temps in the low 90s. I installed a compass in my boat today and wired it in for lights too. Every day I learn more and more about this boat, by opening stuff up, reading the manuals and searching the net too.
Thanks for the compliment. We actually have the same boat - an '05 BR. They stopped making the Capri's in '02. There is only one windshield available and that is the boxey flat panel glass. That was the one thing I didn't like about it but the reason I bought it was because of the spacious room for an 18 footer and the price of only $10 grand brand new. I had Wayne-Earl do the windshield upgrade and a guy from the Bayliner Owners Club did the graphics. The picture was taken at Lake Silverwood a couple of weeks ago.
here's a shot of it with graphics and the stock windshield.
Gee Rondi can I join too How much did you guys pay for the tops, I am trying to get all my figures together Thanks >>> Pat PS: I like what you did to your boat, Where did you order your Graphics from I have looked every where..
WAVEN - Come on down!
Everyone's invited to the BOC party. There's a bunch of Maxum owners there and even a FourWinns guy. Lot's of great people and it's just another cool place to hang out and learn more about our boats.
As far as the Graphics on mine, contact Somesailor http://www.baylinerownersclub.org/fo...tposter&t=5740
He did my graphics and at a good price too. He charged $150 for both sides along with some Hull ID numbers.
Wow thats a real good price I thought it would be way higher than that, looks sharp too. when I refinish the out side all the original will be taken off in order to refinish her right, so I am going to have to replace all the graphics too. were did you get the bimini and what size did you get,I would really hate to order the wrong size. are they adjustable on how high or low you want it?? sorry for all the ???
Wish I could help with the Qs for the bimini, the dealer installed mine so I don't know the size. After the new windshield was installed I took off the front struts and replaced them with straps so that was all the work I did.
Because we have different hulls, you may need an altogether different bimini anyways.
Go sign up at the BOC. There's for sure someone there that can help you with your particular model.
Also, there is no "hour meter" on the dash but is there a gauge of some sort on the engine itself?
No, there is no hour meter at all, but you can easily install one.
