Port Trim cylinder OK, Starboard not OK

My outdrive moves up and down but only the port trim cylinder is doing this. I removed the s/b cylinder from the outdrive and operated the trim and trailer buttons up and down and still no action. I have the Oildyne pump system.

My first time to go out tomorrow. Will it be OK temporarily to use just one cylinder until I get the problem resolved?

Thanks.

Ok - I found the merc manual on how to check the trim cylinder. I will perform the necessary tests.

For my trip tomorrow, is it safe to have only 1 cylinder in working condition?

Yes, the nonworking cylinder is on the drive. It is stiff, can't move it with bare hands, but it moves with the drive when the other cylinder is trimming.

Thanks.
