I have a chance to buy this boat but now very little about Astro. I have heard they have transom problems and i plan on fishing Lake of the Ozarks. If i was to buy this boat it will take a beating wondering if anyone has any advice and or info about this boat. Thanks

I have a 1990 astro quickfire 18sc and have no problems with the transom at all. Transoms are repairable.

Digging up an old thread here! I don't know if you bought that boat or not but I have a 1990 Astro Quickfire 18FDX and have never had any transom issues. I run it hard while on the water on show it no mercy over wakes. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one as long as it hasn't been totally mis treated.
