Hi,

I just bought a boat today with a early 70's Mercury blue band 402 on it. The guy I bought it from said it needed the module wired to run. When I got home I found the thing the guy refered to as the module half mounted and all the wires just hanging their. I figure it is the switch box, it is a grey metal box with a black and geen wire hanging on the left side and several wires hanging on the right side also some of the other wires are also disconected.I ordered a service manual but won't have for a week or two. I'm wondering if someone has a wiring diagram for the switch box lying around so I don't have to wait.

Hi,
Mercury usualy embossed the wire colors on the switchbox (b/y, r/w............) like that. If that helps. Otherwise you can go to the library and get a manual. I found the problem I had by checking the embossed box and found two switched causing the modules to fire at the wrong time. Just a thought..............Jerry
