I have a 2000 Searay 24.5 Weekender. Boat has 240 hrs. Starts and runs fine, will run all day. When I shut the motor off to go get the trailer, engine will not restart. cranks fine, has fuel, the throttle body fills with vapors. If I wait 20 minutes, or play with the WOT, it will fire, run rough then clear out and run fine. Any ideas?

The vapors are a sign that the fuel is flooding into the engine on shutdown.

Whats your engine serial number?

You should have a small hose that goes from the fuel pressure regulator (on top of fuel cooler) to the flame arrestor. If the diapharm in the pressure regulator ruptures, gas will go into the throttle body. Check that small hose and see if there is gas in it.
