Hi, I have a pontoon that has a 28 Hp johnson ESP and shift cable broke-I put a new cable on and tried to adjust it. If I use the original bracket hole-the forward one /adjusted all the way I get no reverse- If I use the back hole and adjust it all the way I get no forward- Ive been adjusting them all the way because without that, although they get close to gear they dont quite make it into gear, for now, I left it where I can get forward and go back to engine and manually give it an extra-nudge to shift it into reverse. Am I missing something? how can I get both without having to go back to the motor-any advice will be appreciated-it's driving me nuts!
