Could someone tell me what color are the kill wires on the switch boxes for a 1979 mercury 90 H.P. 6 cyl., ser. no. 549536? Also is there anyplace online to get a wiring diagram for this unit? Thanks.

you can unplug the harness, then use jumper cables ground the engine,to battery, and jump from pos battery to pos on starter, to see if you have spark. if you leave the plugs connected it may start, you will have to manually choke it to stop it. you might try maxrules.com tech assist.
