Hi All,

I have a 1987 Mercruiser 305 Alpha One, 230HP. I know it has a 4bbl carb for sure, but how can i tell if it is the Rochester or Weber. Was one more common then the other? Or are there numbers to match up?!

Thanks

It is most likely a Rochester......;)
Mercs do not come with Webers.....

I will amend that to say that a 1987, 305 GM 230 hp did not come from the factory with a Weber carb....
Either Holley or Rochester....
It would have a big 'Holley' on it if it were Holley....
Rochester Quadrajet is my ......opinion....
It should have some ID #'s on it....;)

I stand corrected.....
Funny that my 1987 MERC. MANUAL #9 makes no reference to a Weber carb. anywhere........
