i have a 1970 evinrude selectrict shift and had just replaced the lower unit and i have had it out a few times and everything was great but today wen out fishing things were fine for hours and then when started when we went to leave when you givw throttle it stalls out and cant figure it out for the life of me will idle with a little throttle but after about 1/4 throttle it stalls out any help>????????/

Probably not getting fuel. Tank, hose, fuel pump, dirty carb (s), who knows from here. See if you can keep it going by squeezing the bulb.

sounds like ya might have fouled a few plugs.

Like imported_F_R said. It could be a number of things. You may have some brittle wires coming from the trigger/stator that is chafed and grounding out when you advance the throttle. Best get a service manual out and start the process of elimination.
