I was trying to figure out what is missing on the steering tube in this pic............it looks like a greese fitting cap should be there ..does anyone know what the part is called or maybe a model #............
the motor is a 1970 650 4 cyl merc 65 hp...and the serial # is 2805901
and also can someone tell me what steering system will fit this merc?
What you have there is a Teleflex steering system. There is a plastic cap that threads onto the threaded nipple you're pointing to. If it's missing it's not a big deal.
