thanks rick very much. this is a 1975 model and i want change the gear lube in the bottom end. so both of the ones you gave me will work in this lower end??

Methinks you're aiming to cheap-out and get regular automotive gear oil, right? Get an appropriate MARINE gearlube. Automotive lubes don't have the additives necessary to hold any trapped water in suspension. Without those additives, water that gets in settles quickly to the bottom during non-use and parts rust. The extra buck or two you're trying to save can cost you many hundreds.
