What do people that have the elec. shift Evenrude's think of them?
I just bought a used one and don't know a thing about them.

The only reason I like them is because I know every stupid idiosyncracy about them and have learned how to deal with them and buy them cheap. They are not user-friendly. :(

Have a healthy battery and throw the wingnuts out. Keep the connections pristinely clean and use hex nuts and keep them wrench-tight. Do those and you'll have a lot of happy service.

My current version is a 1972 100Hp and I'm going for a boat ride tomorrow come hell or high water! ;)

Say their Willy You seem very knoledgable about the elec shift I recently had mine running but had to jump the scelenoid to the starter run fine so I ordered the new starter scelenoid R&R now turns with key again but no spark from coils???? :confused:
