water pump OMC 1.6 1987

I have a Sierra pump kit #18 3390 that replaces OMC #395060 this kit does not have a Oring that fits between the impeller and the impeller plate like the old one is this a change that has been made and not needed with this kit?
Everything else is the same.

If the impellor has a recess on the bottom side for the o-ring then it needs one!!

Just a thought: The full water pump rebuild kit costs only about $35, if my memory......


The biggest component in the game is your time and labor. If you're going to change the impeller, might as well change the housing too. Piece of mind.

Has anyone used this kit Sierra #18 3390 it does not have the deep Oring cut on the bottom of the impller and no Oring incuded is included for one.
I looked at older post asking this question and no one had a clear answer then.
