This may be operator error, don't know, but that is why I am asking. When coming in slow to dock or slip, a quick shift from forward gear to neutral kills the 115 hp, 2 cycle, fuel injection evinrude, consel controlled Crestliner Mirage 1800. RPM's are slightly above idle level and the factor seems to be how fast I shift. Am I just too quick?

I've heard and experienced that symptom ,however it is more common to occur while shifting from neutral to forward.I was initially thinking that your link and synch is out of adjustment or you have an idle mix issue. Can you shine some more light on the subject?Year model?

Admiral, thanks for the reply. The motor is a 2004 2 cycle, #E115FPLSOD. The boat is a 2004 Crestliner 1800 Serenity console.

might check the neutral switch, could be causing loss of power. it's just an idea. but stranger things have happened.

Sorry SCHawk, but I can't help you on the fuel injected models with respect to engine stalling issues.:(Have you consulted a dealer service dept about the issue? One other note: according to the model number you listed ,I come up with a 2005 as the year model.

Re: 115 hp cutting out

You are right, it is a 2005, I saw 2004 on the label and just grabbed it as the date. I have moved 300 miles from my original dealer and need to find another resource (10 miles a gal. at $3.29 a gal is a bit restricting). A dealer 30 miles away has a rep for being difficult to work with if you didn't buy from him (small family business). Thanks for replying.
