I have 19ft Seafox with a 115 hp Johnson engin. I have been a very bad person and did not use the boat for serveral month and did not winter-ize it.
Last week was the big day and of couse it turned out to be not so good.
The engin started very easly each and every time which was a big surprize.
I did put new gas in the tank to start the day, the problem came when it was time to go and the motor would die over and over again whenever I tried to get the engin over 1300 rpms. At 1300 rpms it would run and run (over 2 hours), any higher and the engin would die but it would restart on the frist click on the key.
The frist guess is a fuel problem but I think it is strange that the engin starts so easy. This is the frist problem of any kind I have had. I am not sure were to start.

Start at the carbs. I would clean or rebuild them then give it a go.
