I've decided not to paint over the red metal flake with Brightside yellow. The work involved with all the masking off, etc., etc., is just too much. I want to get this thing on the water. Also, I just got done going over the red metal flake with Meguier's Medium Cut Cleaner followed by 3M Finesse It II and it looks pretty good! A lot better than it did. It brought back a lot of the color. Once I get done polishing and waxing I'll post pics.

Re: Avenger Project: CHANGE OF PLANS

See the pics below. This is why I decided not to paint with bright yellow Brightside. This is the result after 1.) buffing with Meguier's Medium Cut Cleaner, 2.) buffing with 3M Finesse It II, 3.) Waxing with Meguier's Pure Wax. There are some white flecks in it from the exposed metal flakes, but there is a depth of color to it now, and it's mostly shiny, that made me stop my original plan.

Previous images are too small. Try these.

Sweet boat! Gelcoat is much better than paint. Good deal on being able to shine it back up.
