Hello again,
I'm 3rd owner of this motor - first was my paternal Great Grandfather, then my Uncle, and now myself. It's nearly original, except for the lower end gear lash adjusting screw, the secondary ignition wiring, stop button and the spark plug.
The wrap-around tank decal was not in great shape when I first received this motor some 40 years ago, and significant use over the following eight summers did the decal no good.
Where might I find a replacement decal for this 1927 Johnson 1 1/2 HP? I really don't want to do a full-on restoration, as I feel that would cause it to lose some of it's charm and value - besides, it's not really necessary, as the motor is in pretty good shape (especially considering it's advanced age.)
Suggestions greatly appreciated!
