Default acc. switch

I'll start by saying hi, i'm new here and what i've read so far is great. I just bought a 2007 bayliner 185, I was wandering if anyone knows what the acc. switch on the dash is for. it doesn't seem to do anything. thanks in advance.

Have you traced the wires back to the fuse panel? Most of the time they are labeled; if not, continue to trace the wire back to what ever it is hooked up to.

It could be just an extra switch to be used for some device that was to be added as needed.

This might be a stupid answer but did you try looking in your owner's manual?
If nothing there then call your dealer. Burroak is on the money about its possible use.
