Does anyone know where I can get a motor cover assembly for a 1976 Johnson 9.9 or 15 HP motor? The motor is a 15R76R and while the local dealer is willing to help, he says he can no longer get this part. I've tried internet searches and have found nothing. I'd be happy with a blank, a 9.9 or a 15HP cover. I also need the gasket as well. The original part numbers are:
0387354 - Motor Cover assembly
0319077 - Seal, motor cover
I can get the original cover repaired by a local fiberglass man for 75 dollars. It has a hole and a pretty bad crack, but is repairable. Is repair a better option and if so, how would I get a motor cover seal?
