Here's one from a true novice... I've got a Mercruiser MCM165 that's giving me starting fits. The starter turns and turns, but apparently, there is no fire at the plugs. I've tried using my Seloc manual to troubleshoot the problem; but no luck. Tried adjusting the points and noticed that when I leave the contacts closed, the starter will not turn over. Is that normal?
