Default Blowing fuse

Intermediate problem. The fuse that links dash power (including starting) is blowing. Not all the time. I first thought it was during starting (had starter checked out). Now realize it's when I'm shifting from forward back to neutral. Is there a switch that could be the problem? I'm carrying spare fuses at this time until I figure it out.

It's a 93 Classic Cuddy with 3.0 4 cyl Mercruiser.

Could be the switch but I'd grab a helper. As you move the throttle have someone keep a lookout for any wires that the cable might be catching on. That would definately make fuses blow if it was indeed grounding something out.

Good idea, I'll try it. The problem is that sometimes it doesn't do it all day long and then bam, two or three times. Frustrating. I may put in a circuit breaker instead of a fuse if I can't locate what's causing it.

A circuit breaker is a great idea, but don't exceed the amps with it. Have you called Bayliner direct and talked to anyone in the tech department? They may be able to nail this right off.

Have your HIN number, they will need it.
