I am thinking about buying a Glastron GT 205 and am looking for opinions on this boat, mostly used for day trips into the Puget Sound and San Jaun Islands and some water skiing on the local lakes, anyone out there own one?

Re: Glastron GT205

Ok how about Glastron boats in general, is the process that they use for their run abouts (VEC technology) any good?

Your initial post said "anyone out there own one?". Which implied you only wanted responses from actual owners. Which may account for the low response. Or may not, I've seen that approach go both ways.

The GT 205 should be a nice lake boat. I'm Chicken Of The Sea, I'd want something bigger for the run to the San Juans.

Glastron offers a formidable value. About the only other brands that can come close on price are Bayliner, Larson, and Tahoe. Each of these has its fans. Best price will depend on your local dealer, could be any of these.

Of course spending the same $25k on a used boat, instead of new, would get you into a bigger and/or better boat. And a more warm fuzzy feeling for that run to the San Juans.

You will also find Glastron owners over on www.Trailerboats.com
