i have a 1978 evinrude 9.9hp outboard and i have been having power issues, it had all started out we were running near full throtle when all of a sudden it went from full power to very little at all, after that i had replaced spark plugs, fuel tank, interior and exterior fuel lines and fuel pump, after all that the engine ran great until about a day ago i was out and the engine started of running smooth but no power then the power came back and then after about another hour it lost all power and the engine started running real rough and the only way you could keep it going was with the choke opened to about half. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong or areas i might want to look into? any help would be greatly aprecieated thank you

Sounds like it could be a loose ground wire to a coil or even the powerpack.

Check fire to the plugs, & try to ID if only one is firing.
