Re: help hp and serial#

Is this a Force motor?

The model number was only located on an id tag, that was attached to the motor mounting bracket, usually on the starboard side, 3-5 inches below the powerhead.

How many cylinders?
2 cylinders = 40 or 50 hp
3 cylinders = 85 hp
4 cylinders = 125 hp
5 cylinders = 150 hp

I have a 1984 , 85 hp, and the serial numbers is under the cowling on the drivers side, front corner. Metal tag stamped with serial number rpm and hp. I don't know but this may help.

Re: help hp and serial#

If the motor is a 1990 or newer.....
a 3 cylinder would be a 70 hp with 1 carb, or a 90 hp with 3 carbs.
