hey guys i got a inline 6 that will only start a full throttle. it runs great,but
when i back off the throttle it shuts off . carbs clean. new gas . when im backing off the throttle about amost at idle, it starts poppin and breakin up , but when i put it back to higher rpms it runs great, someone told me the stator , and someone told me the switchebox or the #1 cylinder is bad ,they told me that was a common thing with this motor.
hope so one can help me .

Do a compression test. Past that, check out my timing and synch post in the FAQ area of the board.

If you run it at full throttle in neutral without load, you won't have to worry about it lasting long enough to read much. Try it with your car... put it in neutral and hold the petal on the floor. :D

And if the carbs we not taken off and cleaned - they might still be involved.
