Hi, just joined, thanks for this forum. Like what I see.:)

Just bought what was said to be an early 80"s 9.9 Johnson O.B. Model #1024B
Ser. # 7046432. Please tell me how to tell the year, make and H.P. The guy I bought it off said he was told by the guy he got it from, that he had a guy modify the carb to make it a 15 H.P. how could I tell if this was done?

that's one of those elusive canadian built , model numbers, try to contact a local dealer to find the year, then you can go to BRP-johnson and look up the parts list and engine diargram

to make it a 15, you'd need to swap out different carbs and exhaust and maybe a couple of other things depending on year.
