Fuel problem

I have a problem with taking off. I can get it going by pumping the bulb but sometimes it colllapses the bulb. I just rebuilt the fuel pump so that isn't it. Once i get going it runs great its just getting the darn thing to take off. It will sit and idle in neutral but once you put it in gear it dies with out pumping. Any help would be great.

Shawn, Sounds like the primer bulb is defective. You might replace it.

I have the same mercury 115 when mine had this problem I changed the gas line and the primer bulb because the fuel line had small cracks in it and it was sucking air when I pushed the accelerator down but run fine once I was going are idle ling.
