if the pins don't line up, it's a PITA. get the right harness, and sell what you have. i had a 71 135 put new internal and found a new old stock control w external harness. made it like a new engine. i opened my old control, and since being black the heat had cooked all the insulation on the wires, how it ran i have no idea. turn out to be a great engine.
