Ok,
Got some time to work on this engine again. Took it to the lake and it sounded like it was missing. I checked for spark at the coils, using a tester set at 7/16. The bottom coil had a good blue spark and was firing repeatedly. The top coil only fired every few seconds, if at all. I swapped the coils and i still had a bad spark on the top coil.
Should a replacement of the points and condensers solve this problem or should I look elsewhere before I order parts.
