I did some structural glass work as a kid, working at a Motorhome plant. I need to go well beyond that now. I've got a doozy to rebuild. (At least is seems that way to me.) Can anyone recommend a good how to book?? Amazon has some decent selections. Any help here is appreciated. Thanks, KR

Ok, I'll bite.
"Runabout Renovation" - good general book
"The Fiberglass Boat Repair Manual" by Alan H. Vaitses
"Fiberglass Boat Repair & Maintenance" a West Systems Publication
"Final Fairing & Finishing" a West Systems Publication
"Gelcoat Blisters" a West Systems Publication
"Marine Fiberglass Boat Repair Product Guide and Application Manual" 3M
West Systems User manual
"The Epoxy Book" Systems 3 Epoxy download for free at http://www.mertons.com/Epoxy/documents/epoxy_book.pdf .
I found that by studying and reading all the posts in this forum I was able to figure out what I needed to do. It also helped me figure out exactly what was talked about in the books and come to a decision on materials etc.
Basically it boils down to diagnosis, measuring how things are, ripping out, grinding, planing and measuring, measure again, cutting, gluing, glassing, and painting if you are going there.
There is alot of info and it really depends on what you need to do. I am no expert and am learning as I go. This forum has been super helpful and is my main resource.
BTW what do you have? any pics?

I had the resolution way too high on the camera. Rather than reset and reshoot, I cropped the heck out of 'em so they'd load. Thanks, KR

I gotta agree with the jeepster, Runabout Renovation is a really good book. The author included all the lessons he learned the hard way to keep you from making the same mistakes.
