I ask because I look at mytransom and hull and I can't vision them working with the little amount of room that I have to work with. Therefore, if anyone has done this install can you tell me about it or send me a pic?
I have a 19.5' Bayliner Capri with an I/O and I know you said you have a outboard but if the smart tabs work anything like on my boat..DO it! It was honestly the best thing i did to this boat. I planes so much faster, gets better gas usage, and it rides like a Cadillac. I bought them for safety after reading it reduced the listing and purposing on boats and my g/f at the time had never drove a boat and I am SO glad I did. I wont own a boat from now on that doesnt have them..if the boat doesnt come with regular tabs of course. but thats my opinion.
I want to get some smart tabs for my 18' 1991 capri w/ IO but the built in swim platform leaves little room.
CodyGrizz, what model/year is your capri?
Rondi, if you get a chance could you measure the distance from the bottom of your hull to the top of the gas cylinder mount? This should give me the info I need, to know if they will fit.
