Starter rope for Johnson 2 Hp

I have a Johnson 2 hp 1971 year engine. Model number: 2R71A. What is the proper starter rope size? They come in various sizes: 9/64, 3/32, 1/8, 5/32. Also does it matter what type of starter pawl to use?

Use #4 Starter rope - 1/8".
