Default Cleaning a 1950's Meyers aluminum speedboat

I have recently purchased a 1950's aluminum speedboat that was manufactired by the Meyers Aircraft Co. in Tecumseh MI. It is structuarlly very sound, but has been left uncovered outdoors for years, so I'm looking for suggestions on how to best go about cleaning the aluminum...and, as well, any information about these boats that anyone may have.

i'd first take some dishwasher soap disolve 2 or 3 in a bucket and give it a good scrubbing. the soap has good stuff in it to cut the crud.

Once the surface crap is removed, you can use a good aluminum polish like Mother's or even Brasso to give it a nice shine.

Before going to the polish, you might want to wet sand it with 400-grit to get rid of the oxidation if it is particularly heavy.
