I have a 1998 200hp Johnson V6 Two stroke. One whole bank of cylinders wasn't firing, talked to a mechanic before making the expensive purchase of new power pack, turns out be the "Shift Switch" as he calls it. Easily tested the problem by disabling the switch by unplugging it while the engine was running and BAM the three other cylinders fired up and she smoothed right out. Turns out such a problem can be intermitent may also be misdiagnosed as a clogged fuel line when the first signs of a problem are a loss of power.
