I bought a new key/ ignition switch for my 1978 Mercury 1150 Control Box. I can not figure out how to remove the front cover of thh control box. I know I can remove the whole unit by removing the screws in the back of the box but, I cant reach them. This unit is on a 1978 v178 Ranger. Any help would be great. Thanks.

if it's mount on a panel you may have to remove the panel, then remove the controller, 4 bolts on the back of control corners to open.
