'94 70hp Evinrude - Tach quit working - old tach had (PUL, GND and 12V) - new tach (Teleflex Sport series - white face) has (SEND, GND and IGN) - I attached wires as follows - PUL to SEND, GND to GND and 12V to IGN - when power applied, pointer went to "0" like it's supposed to but no increase when I applied more power. Range is set to 6 on both.
I guess it could be rectifier problem. Does rectifier also charge battery?
