Question mercury 200 2003 compression

I have a Mercury Saltwater Series 200 (V6) 2003. I would like to know the acceptable compression for this motor. I took them and one side reported 110,110,115 psi. The other side reported 110,105,100psi. Is this ok? Thank You!

Default Mercury 200 2003 compression

The compression readings should vary no more than 10% across the board on all cylinders.

Did you take the readings you posted on the engine while it was warm, or were these cold pressure readings? You need to take the readings while the motor is at operating temperature.

Is this a 2-stroke or 4-stroke motor?

The readings seem just a bit low for a 4 year old motor, but it is possible you could raise them a bit by doing a decarb on the motor.

Cool Re: mercury 200 2003 compression

Thank You! I took the readings while the engine was warm. It is a 2 stoke motor.
