don a couple of shop price questions
on an alpha 1 89 w/5.7 what does it cost retail to presure test the drive. and also to change the bellows boots.
the reason i am asking as i got a bad merc dealer who has my boat and has a weekend guy fixing it and i am pissed and am thinking when its done to take it to another shop.my motor is getting done piece by piece. i am in a jam most never get in. its still cold here. pa . but any advice would help me with my plan's
1. presure test drive
2 complete bellow replace with new shift cable.
i have no faith to give this guy anymore $$ as he has got 2 guys in his shop but is letting a weekend worrior friend complete my engine and i live in a home with no parking and he's got $2500 of my $$ so far. he said a few more weeks. he pulled old motor out. is swapping things most rusty had to be replaced. new steering cable done . new gimble bearing done, new motor not done as its sitting half dressed.
