I have a feeling some sand was sucked into my engine while anchoring in a sand bar.Is there a way that I can tell by looking in the engine? I have a 2005 Evinrude DFI 200

The pee stream seams to come out fine but I noticed that when I pulled my boat out of the water the water coming out of the engine was a little warm. Is this normal?

Thanks a bunch?.

The water coming out of the engine will be somewhat warm. You may want to pull the stats and see if there is much sand in there. But I would just give it a good flush with the hose and muffs and see how she does. It happens more than you think....Always keep an eye on the temp and pressure gauges...
