New Carb

Have corrosion in my 86 Mercarb on a 181 C.I. 140HP 4cyl. motor. On another thread it was suggested I replace the carb with an "upgrade." Can anyone suggest a carb that I can bolt onto this motor that is better than the standard Mercarb? Where's the best place to get these marine carbs? Thanks

They probably assumed you had a SBC and not the 3.0L. For the 3.0L, might as well stay stock.

Ayuh,....... In your Other Thread,..... You never said What Motor you have, til After somebody mentioned it Might be a good idea to go to a 4bbl. Carb........

You've got the I4,+ the Factory Carb is about All that motor will Handle......
