Re: BWhaler 1984, twin Mercury 200hp-2002.

Really depends on correct description, condition and model.

I have 2 problems with your description that make me suspicious of it:

1. Boston Whaler did not offer a 24' boat in 1984. It may be a 22' or a 25', or it may not be a 1984.

2. It is waaaay overpowered. 25' Boston Whalers in that period are rated for up to 300hp, max.

The boat could be an Outrage CC, Outrage Cuddy, Revenge, or it may not even be a Boston Whaler.

See if you can clarify the correct model and year for us, and good luck.:)

I think is Outrage cuddy and probably 22' and the extra 2' are the addon on the back where to Engine mount go. so thats it..

Looks like the motors are in good shape. The boat looks to be in pretty good shape. Whalers don't depreciate much, so I'd say that's not a bad price.

That would depend on many variables. What is the compression readings of the cylinders? How many hours are on the motors?

Re: BWhaler 1984, twin Mercury 200hp-2002.

ok.

i check nada for this BW 22' price is $3000 for boat & both engines i believe could be around $5,000 or 6000 each maximun depending state.

so i think the boat could be at decent price if in good shape.

Im looking for a boat and they all are extremely expensive, i don't know what's best option to buy a boat if used or new, i heard so much about Bwhaler brand and i been looking on ebay and boattrader ect and no luck with a good price, i need something cheap good running, i live in Miami FL area

I currently have a Boat i started repairing to kill time and entertain a little but i figured out im doing so much for a penny boat. The boat is Wellcraft 20' cuddy and figured the year days ago was 1974 and i before i thought it was 1986, lol
im quitting with this boat, after all the hard work takin half of the floor out and putting all back and fiberglass and resin + plywood i lost all my interest in the boat, the engine is stuck not good, no steering wheel nothing work, the only thing good are both FUEL Tanks & and the propel probably, and no trailer to junk it, im starting to think to cut it into pieces and take it to the closest Garbage tank

EBAY is for the rich, i don't stand a chance getting a good deal in there

Re: BWhaler 1984, twin Mercury 200hp-2002.

Looks pretty good, Hardboiled.

The Outrage 22 cuddy is rated for 240HP max. Looks like someone converted a sea drive pair of 115 JohnnyRudes to the merc 200s. That is far too much power and too much weight for that boat. Probably handles like a barge at low speeds.

You shouldn't have too much trouble swapping out the big Mercs for a pair of 115s or even a single 200. Most BWs perform well with anything over 70% of the rated power, so long as they are not weighed down with too much.

That said, I think $15K is in line with the market for that boat. NADA hasn't a clue to the market for classic Boston Whalers. Might as well ask them about a '67 Chevy Bel Aire.
