Im having trouble wiring my starter switch. im finding a purple with white stripe, 2 blacks, a white, a brownish/orange, a grey, and a red. got the red to battery....now whats next?
White goes to start terminal on ign switch to solenoid
(2)Black goes to (2) Magneto terminals on ignition switch
Gray is tachometer ground
Purple w/ white stripe goes to choke switch
Brownish red?? Could it be tan? goes to overheat light or horn.
Also need a purple jumper from ign Acc terminal to overheat light and choke switch.
1960s? Evinrude 40hp starter switch wiring??
