i just bought a new mercury 50 hp outboard with the new Mercury shifter controls. the motor came on a new boat i just bought out of canada. it was all rigged and ready to go. the day i put it in the water i went to put it in forward and it went into reverse. the foward and reverse was opposite. i checked the prop and it was the right prop thinking it was a contor rotating prop. the throttle works fine just the shifting. i tried to call the company i bought the boat from but they are hard to get a hold of. If anyone can help me with it i would be greatly appritiated. thanks
