I was working on a the outboard for a friend and when trying to remove the throttle shaft from the gear I broke the little worm gear on the end of the shaft. It's just a tiny little piece of cast aluminum so I don't think I can weld it, so I'm looking for another one unless someone had an idea. Anyone have one laying around or know where I can buy one?

The shaft and gear are sold as a unit.There is a long and short style depending on which model you have.They are around $35-$45 respectively.A local dealer can hook you up or one of the online stores.One online store is ishopmarine dot com.Click on parts list at the top of the page,then click on engine make,next enter the engine year and horsepower.To find a breakdown of the parts you'll need to click on exhaust housing.
