I'm sure this applies to all outboards but I don't see just an outboard section. At any rate, I've got a 1993 Johnson 140, 4 cylinder outboard.
I replaced the fuel filter the other day and I replaced it with one that is glass so I can see the fuel filter. The filter I am referring to is the inline filter under the motor cover. I primed it and it started and ran fine but I noticed there is still air in the filter. Is that normal or should I get the air purged out of the filter? Since the filter has never been see-through I've never noticed before so I'm not sure what to expect.
I'm sure I can figure out how to purge it but if you have any suggestions please feel free to post them.
Thanks in advance.
