I have a 88 yamaha excel 225. When I accelerate from a dead stop it stalls out, but if I choke it, it takes right off. It gets worse after engine has warmed up. During cruising speeds, no problems when you accelerate. No starting problems, bump starter and fires right up. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mark.

Start by reseting the idle air screws to 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 turns from a soft stop.
