...to jumpstart his failed political career and to continue on his quest to lead us to socialism? Actually, the more evidence builds to discredit his shrill warning of man made calamity, the more absurd he is acting.

Sorry Al, you've had a good run with it, even though not everyone bowed to your self serving assertions.

The following is an article about the Sun's activity and the evidence now being discovered about it's affect on the whole solar system.

What the sun is heating the planet? That's crazy talk. SUV's heat up the planet. 8) Unless that SUV is owned by algore, Teddy Oldsmobile, or WH Kerry.

Boom it's very easy to throw the dart of stinging critism, anyone of mankid's members can do as much.

In this particular case we are observing a man melting down, to that i bow my head with passion and remorse, well meaning as he was, his age is catcing him, he is a sorted target one of little value.

Just let the old boy blow, the card's have been dealt, the stage is set. Once again history will be the judge......

I'm stunned. It's the new iboatized TailGunner, either that or you have jumped into bed (so to speak) with Gordon Smith.:%8)

Are you really suggesting that I 'let sleeping Gores lie'?
Not, I say! He is like Freddy Kruger or Dracula. Either finish the job with a silver spike, or he will be back, in one form or another.

You can't debunk global warming. If you do, the politicos will either have to invent a new "problem" to hinge the presidential race on, or heaven forbid, actually run on a real problem to solve.

I'd post, but the blind that choose to remain blind are going to stay blind no matter what is said, and all they'll seek is the darkness associated with it. Drink your Koolaid and bash away.

You left winger Preachers of the Church of Science.... what are YOU doing about global warming?

Did you sell your engine and buy a sail?
Are you pedalling to work?
Are you generating your own electricity via wind and sun?

If you're not doing these things then you are just a big hypocrite. Like the goracle.

Stop telling everybody else to be perfect, show us!

WBW, I know I'm blind, but what happened to "global cooling" which was what your party was touting about in the 70's, when emissions were umpteen times higher then they are now?

Global cooling from particles in the air preventing IR radiation from reaching the surface is different from the gasses asscoiated with trapping reflected heat. Different pollutants, different results. You could say that by cleaning the particles from the air to prevent global cooling, we've opened the door wider for global warming by ignoring other considerations.

What am I doing? My current car gets 37mpg. My former minivan got 20ish. I keep it in tune and tires inflated to their max 35psi. I have an automatic thermostat set at 60 at night and 66 during waking hours. I simply dress accordingly. It also turns back down while I'm at work (when I'm not layed off). All unoccupied rooms have the vents shut off plus my own bedroom. I only heat what I must. I have fluorescent bulbs in almost all of my most frequently used lights. I have a solar battery charger to maintain the battery in my gas-thirsty towing vehicle which is only used for towing and hauling. I insulated my pipes and replaced my furnace with a much more efficient model. I use storm windows in the winter to help keep heat in and screens in the summer to let the heat out. I do not use air conditioning, although that's not so significant in Wisconsin where it might be necessary 10 days out of the year, especially in a house with a basement that gathers cool night air to circulate upstairs with the furnace fan during the day.

Supporting steps to correct global warming does not imply that all supporters become Energy Monks swearing an oath of Fossil Fuel Celibacy. When alternatives are available and I am able to afford a vehicle that can use it, count on it being done. For now I'm stuck with what's offered. It would be nice to be able to bike to work, but that's 34 miles each way. I'm sure my boss would prefer that I save my energy to do my job. ;)

Oddjob, did willy just say that liberals caused global warming by interfering with industry?

Re: What new vehicle will Algore choose now....

Willy,
Those are the reasonable and rational steps that everybody can agree on.
That's NOT what Al & the envriomentalist advocate.
They would say that you MUST ride your bike that 35 miles or not work.
They say that government should REQUIRE the use of flouresant bulbs and BAN incandesant.
They would FORCE you drive a fuel efficiant car.
They want nothing less than the destruction of the modern, industrial, capitalist world.
They are socialist & communists.
These are NOT reasonable and rational people.

I am willing to do all the things that you are. I simply refuse to do them at the point of a gun.

"It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master. "

Yes I did infer quite intentionally that cleaning-up the atmosphere has significantly restored the nautural process of the Sun heating the Earth, and that has in turn resulted in an additional amount (compared to the reduced amount we were getting) being stored thanks to the other pollutants that we can't see (and were thus less concerned with). Does that mean that we revert back to the days of daily Smog Alerts? Heck no. It just means we still have to finish the job.

Bekosh, sounds like you're teetering on the precipice. Your claims are probably just repetitions of the propaganda you expose yourself to, so I'll take that into consideration regarding the silliest of your accusations. ;)

....all the while, prices rise everywhere, taxes are increased, standard of living sinks into the muck, government involvement and control of your lives skyrockets. Hmmmm, sounds like the stage is being set for a totalitarian socialist government.

When we have been beaten down, removed from our independant means of transport, can no longer afford the necessities of life, Algore, et al, comes riding in on their black horses (suv's) to rescue us.

If allowed unfettered influence on this issue, they will milk it for all it is worth, then move on to the next vehicle to sate their insatiable appetite for control of the populace.

I get it! Do you?
