Default 1996 Evinrude Long Shaft 8HP E8SRLEDD (Please help)

Hi all,

I am looking to buy a 1996 8HP Evinrude long shaft motor to be used as kicker on my bass boat.

The seller gave me this for the model number

The model number is EBSRLEDD (I am sure they mean E8SRLEDD)

Could someone please help me ID if this is a 1996 model and what type of model is it? I read that SR means Sailing Rope Start, Non Tilt. The Non-Tilt part worries me. What does this mean? What's the difference between a Sailing and non Sailing motor?

Please help this newbie.

This is what it looks like. It looks like it does have a tiller.
